Course in CHCH

OMG! The 2nd day and im think im doing better than the 1st. Reason being, im more alert, have more energy! I think thats because i went to the gym this morn' good on Tereinamu! lolz

But really we have covered alot so far and its been great! Thought brovoking, eye opening, refreashing in somethings and extending in others.

Last night i told mama that i wasn't settled, felt wierd and not too comfortable. Almost home sick! Today is better!

So what have i learnt??
IMPORTANCE of HEALTH and SAFETY. Ella, one of the training teachers is very passionate about H&S as well as FOOD SAFETY. Theres so much that i need to breing up and implement in my store as the H&S Manager, but lets focus one at a time aey? Food safety is done all day, every day!!!

Basic people skills
Treat people how they want to be treated! What comes out of your mouth should be CONSTRUCTIVE or POSITIVE comments. Making behavior and not personal statements. Its being more than "nice" and "friendly", but meaning it!

101s
One of my 101s is to: Make an impact in the educational system.
So that for me includes getting a Degree of Education.
What i can do in McDonalds is make my way up and get inot the Training Dep. See if we could refine or develope more training programs. Maori's and Polys learn more by doin. There are many oppurtunities at McDonalds for them! They is lovin' the food, the mula so WHY NOT go another step and get a JOB working with the food that they is lovin', getting it discounted, and learn more. This could end up turning into a career.
That is a positive effect on my people. In image, wiether it be in the media or communities. Their success in life, financialy, family wise etc...

OK, maybe i don't need to stay in McDonalds for that BUT its a great passion of mine to make an impact on Maori, especially Rangatahi, so that get the best out of life or make a turn in a better and brighter direction. Education is something that interests me. I love the feeling i get when im learning, and i think its fasinating when ive taught someone, trained someone as well.

Anyways.... Im getting side track. Restaurant Visit tomorrow. Im heading over to Riccaton, should be sweet!
